To keep your PALAPAS looking fresh, it is important to treat them with care. Avoid wearing them in the rain. Keep the leather away from heat and never blow dry it, even if it gets wet. Clean them once a week (when you use them often). Apply oil or cream conditioner directly into the leather. You can occasionally wax your leather to keep them looking like new.  

Vegetable leather tanned means we use tannins derived from barks, leaves and branches of trees and plants to tan the leather (no chrome nor harsh chemicals that pollute the environment). Based on the craftsmanship of traditional techniques, this process results in leather with unmatched durability and distinct natural appearance. This gentle multi-week process treatment gives leather a much longer life than chrome-tanned leather and makes it 100% sustainable. It also means your sandals will get more comfortable the longer you use them thanks to this process. Vegetable-tanned leather also has that distinctively sweet, woody fragrance.
